The topic for the 2022 Junior Public Speaking Competition meant for students aged 8 -11 from Bucharest is:
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…“ (Dr. Seuss – Oh, the Places You’ll Go!)
Registration is open between March 21 – 25, 2022.
In order to register please fill in the following form:
Only four (4) students per school are eligible to enter the competition. Participants must be students aged between 8-11. In case there are more than 4 students that wish to participate, a school heat must be organised to select only 4 students to participate in the competition.
All submitted speeches will be evaluated by a panel and the top 12 pupils will participate in the final on Saturday, April 9, 2022, starting at 10 am. We aim to have the final as a face-to-face event hosted by the International British School of Bucharest, with all necessary COVID protocols in place. However, the final may be a live ONLINE event with the speakers delivering their live speeches via Zoom. Finalists will be informed after the selection process.
Please see the competition handbook for more information and continue to visit our website for up-to-date information.
